So, I have recently been asked if I've felt the baby kick yet. The answers is--YES!
At about 5 months I started feeling little 'taps' that I can only assume were kicks or punches. That was totally exciting!
Well, things are changing for sure in there!
About 2 days ago, I was driving in the car and thinking to myself that I hadn't felt him move that day. Right on cue, I yelped out loud and my head actually spun a bit as I was on the business end of our future soccer player's kick! I hadn't felt him that strongly to date, and it was amazing! Then, for the rest of the day, he was tapping on me and wriggling around in there.
Well, I called mom and John, because I was just too giddy about such movement.
Later that night, while watching tv with John, I yelped again, probably causing some concern to the daddy-to-be as I was kicked again. I can't tell you how strong that kick was...so crazy that there is a little being in there just a movin and kickin all over the place.
You know, people always told me it felt like butterflies, but seriously. It doesn't to me.
It either felt like popcorn popping in my belly, or when he squirms without kicking, like a fish is flipping or wriggling inside me!
Baby Boy is at about 10 inches long, and almost a pound in weight now! The fingernails are formed, and tooth buds are mostly in place now. The eyelids are still fused shut, but only for a few more weeks! We've got a little tiny baby in there!

I'm nothing special to read about, but my little lime is!
You might wonder why I'm makin this little 'blog', which by the way, I hate that word. A couple of people who don't live near me suggested that I start writing this so that I can keep people updated as to how the baby is doing, and how John and I are doing. This year promises to be a throwback to the few weeks before and after we got married, where every life change I could've made at that time, I made within about a month. So, I decided to take my friends up on their suggestion and keep people posted online. That way, if you are curious to see what's going on with us, you can check it out. If not, then you can hear about it next time you see us in person--no biggie. But this way, I won't have people telling me/us that they feel so behind. There are several things we will be finding out in the next month-3 months, so this is bound to be packed with updates as we find out where we will move, when we'll go, and what the sex of the baby is. And yes, I typed 'baby', not 'babies', you sadistic people--Mom, Kathy, Jennifer, etc. So, let me have a day or two to think of all the details that need to be included this week to catch everyone up!

So, there isn't too much to report, but I thought I would post it because some people haven't been told about this already. My back went out over the weekend, and on Monday I went to the OB to see if there was anything I could take--pain-wise--while prego. We did find out that I can take my muscle relaxers still, but no naproxen or anything else. Boo!Anyways, the fun part was that she said that while she had me in the office, she wanted to listen to the heartbeat! So, for the first time since I was about 7 weeks along, I got to hear our little angel's heart...which made mine soar. There isn't another sound like it, at least not one I have ever heard in my 26 years so far. It's the most beautiful sound, knowing there is a little life, a little human growing in there. Oh, and the doctor, immediately upon hearing the heartbeat, smiled and said "that's a girl heartbeat!" She said, 'now obviously, that's not scientific, but that's a girl heartbeat" It was in the 160's/min.My stomach is starting to get bigger, (and it's not really a baby-belly yet, just all my fat and organs being pushed out by the little bugger) so I have that to constantly remind me that there's something in there...but this heartbeat--it's really amazing. You know, even if something awful happened, even if this pregnancy ended--since it's still a little early--I know that I've had some of the most wonderful feelings and experiences through these last 3 months. On another happy note, John is back from his short deployment! He's sleeping like a snug bug in a rug right now...so cute. He's such a great man, and I am so lucky to have him--thank you to all of you who said even one little prayer for him while he was gone--we really appreciate your thoughtfulness. Well, that's it for now!

So, there isn't too much to update, but there are some things I wanted to post for ya's.First of all, I had another OB appointment today and the doc said everything is good and normal, and we listened to the heartbeat again, and it's good and strong. I am getting bigger it seems each week now, and yesterday, I actually went on my first maternity clothing shopping spree! Technically it's not a 'baby bump', however, it is a pregnancy belly---the baby is still low, but high enough that it's pushing everything up and out! I told John the other day that I am officially not wearing my 'regular' pants anymore, only maternity ones. Whew--boy do I feel better now at work all day. Also, the doctor is going to allow us to find out the sex of the baby the week before Thanksgiving, even though we will only be 19 weeks, not 20. SO--only 4 more weeks, and we should be able to announce that when we come home for the holiday!!!The last bit of update is that John learned that the list of AFIT (Air Force grad school) placements will be released by the end of this week! So, hopefully we will know where and approx. when we are moving by Friday or the first part of next week!! I am SO impatient. I think John will be happy to know just so I quit asking if he's heard anything!Well, for now, that's it. I have to get going to get some din din rustled up.

So, without going into great detail (because I have already explained to all parents and my boss) I was briefly admitted into the hospital yesterday for observation due to sharp pains in my side and in my belly. Don't worry at all though! The baby is and was totally fine from the start--it didn't have anything to do really with the little one. But, I am bringing this up because there is a little update--really, this is just a chance for me to gush about how cute my little human is at 4 months! Part of the tests was to get an ultrasound since a CT scan is out of the question while expecting. So it was a great little gift for John and I to catch another glimpse of the little one. While looking at it, the poor little bugger had hiccups---or is it hiccoughs? It was too CUTE. Anyway, it was jumping every few seconds with them and you could see it clench it's little hand when one came on, and it was a kickin it's little legs and movin the arms--it really put on quite the show for us! John and I really enjoyed seeing how much it had changed in the last 6 weeks since our last ultrasound. We asked the girl if she could tell what the sex was, but baby was just positioned 'funky' she said, and we did get a 'between the legs' shot, but it was too hard to tell anything. She did say, 'well, I can't tell you anything, but I can say that I don't see anything between the legs, but that really doesn't mean anything because it's such an awkward position.'So, that's all I have you for you! All is well at 4 months and counting.

So, it was brought to my attention by several folks that I suck at updating my blog. I know. Well, here is a re-cap of all that has gone on recently.~We found out we are moving to Ohio! John got stationed at Wright-Patt, and our report-no-later-than date is May 31st. However, we will probably be moving up there around the first week of May since my brother's wedding is the second week of May. Therefore, we will be moving acroos the country when the baby is about 2-3 weeks old. :O .~We found out the baby is a BOY!! Yay for little boys! I was totally shocked. I had major 'girl vibes'....don't tell that to our son when he's older, please. He'll have a complex. We have lots of ultrasound pics, and if you'd like me to email them to you if you haven't already gotten them, let me know!~And finally, I have a date that I am for sure leaving DFCS. (YAY!!) January 15th is the day...it's the day I will be running around singing and dancing like a psycho!I think that's it for now...we will see most of you over Christmas break...we will be in town from 12/23-1/2.Look us up if you wanna see us! We will either be in Cincy or Dayton the whole time (travelling back and forth) and looking for houses!
